Location, Location, Location for the Perfect Family Photo Session

If you are looking for the perfect place for your family photo session, I have a few questions that could help you determine what's the best place for you!
These are questions I often ask my clients before booking their own family photo sessions and if it can help you, then let's do it!
What kind of location makes your family most comfortable?
Do you feel more at ease In studio?
How about at your home, either indoors or outside?
Do you have a favorite beach, park, downtown area, or other happy place you often visit?
Which words describe your family best:
Silly and playful?
Chill and easygoing?
Quiet and a bit shy?
Active and adventurous?
Does your family have a favorite shared activity?
Do you love playing at the beach? I know just the place!
How about walking nature paths?
Do you prefer reading books or playing a board game?
How about making dinner together?
What's the most important to you this year?
Updating Family Portraits or Celebrating A Special Occasion?
What shots are the most important for you from this session?
Posed with everyone looking at the camera and smiling?
If so, make sure you check the portfolio of the photographer you are choosing.
I don't do a lot of posed photography. I prefer candid and authentic moments. I always want you to be able to look back to these images and remember the moment, not my posing.
Do you want documentary images of the family doing a favorite activity?
How about detail shots of a growing child?
How many people will be included in this session?
A couple?
Parent or parents with x number of children?
Extended family such as grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins?
Are there babies, toddlers, school-age, tweens, or teens included?
